RESOLUTION
SCHEDULING PUBLIC HEARING
ON
PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NO. _____ of 2021, AMENDMENTS TO ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 419
OF THE TOWN OF WEBB CODE "TAXATION"
WHEREAS,
the Town Board wishes to consider adoption of proposed Local Law No. ___ of
2021, amendment of Article III of Chapter 419 of the Town of Webb Code,
entitled “Taxation”, which amendment would increase
the maximum income levels for senior citizens to qualify for partial exemptions
from real property taxation; and
WHEREAS,
adoption of this legislation is authorized by New York Municipal Home Rule Law
§ 10 and Real Property Tax Law § 467; and
WHEREAS,
Municipal Home Rule Law §20 requires the Town Board to hold a Public Hearing
prior to the adoption of any Local Law,
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED,
that the Webb Town Board shall meet and hold a public hearing at the McCauley Mountain Chalet, 300
McCauley Road, Town of Webb, New
York, beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 to hear all interested
persons and take any necessary action provided by law concerning proposed Local
Law No. ___ of 2021, amendment of Article III, Chapter 419 of the Town of Webb
Code, and be it
FURTHER
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Webb Town
Clerk to publish and post a Notice of Public Hearing concerning proposed Local
Law No. ___ of 2021, amendment of Article III of Chapter 419 of the Town of
Webb Code in the manner provided by law and to make a copy of the proposed Local
Law available for public inspection in the Town Clerk’s office following the
adoption of this Resolution and until the Public Hearing is closed.
